Mischelle Zielke

Mischelle welcomes everyone to experience what the counseling journey can be for them. It excites her to share the many interventions, therapeutic strategies, and modalities that exist to benefit clients’ goals in this day and age! She graduated from Colorado State University and completed a master’s degree from Colorado Christian University. Mischelle has spent decades volunteering time, skills, and services with children, adolescents, and families in Fort Collins and greatly enjoys professionally working with this community. Her warmth, empathic concern, and humor help clients transition from the start of their counseling journey to completion of their therapeutic goals. Mischelle thrives in wearing a Solution Focused Brief therapy lens while incorporating a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques to adequately meet each client’s needs and concerns. She seeks client’s strengths and previous successes to address current life struggles. She honors the uniqueness and personal history of each client. Mischelle strives to provide culturally competent services while empowering clients to grow towards their goals.
Clinically, Mischelle provides services in person and telehealth and provides mental health care that helps clients feel seen, heard, and known throughout the counseling relationship.
Mischelle works with various counseling concerns some of which are listed below: Family of origin issues, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), parenting: relationships- overwhelm- routines, anxiety, depression, religious exploration- transitions, premarital counseling, self-esteem, life transitions, mindfulness growth, career transitions, grief and loss, and expression of needs.
Outside of work, Mischelle loves to travel and explore new locations with her husband and children. She has lived in or visited over a dozen countries and nearly 30 states.
