Debbie Doskey Beach
Licensed Professional Counselor
I’m a child therapist with over 15 years of experience specializing in play therapy for ages 4-17. I’m also offering play therapy for adults who would like to use expressive art and play instead of traditional therapy. My goal is to be supportive and empathetic while listening to your feelings, concerns and goals in therapy. Together we will find useful coping skills and build self-confidence. I also work closely with the children's family because I believe therapy works best when the whole family is on the same page. Through therapy you will become successful, confident, and learn skills to navigate your feelings and actions.
Debbie received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Benedictine College in 1991 and a Masters degree in Counseling from Regis University in 2010 with an emphasis in children and adolescents. I specialize in play therapy, childhood anxiety, adult anxiety, ADHD, depression, adjustment issues, postpartum depression and family transitions (divorce, moves, new siblings). For the last ten years I have had the opportunity to provide therapy with behaviorally challenged children in schools and as a therapist with high- risk children who have been placed in foster care. I’m also a parent of a 27-year-old and 31-year-old and know the challenges of communicating and parenting through childhood to adulthood.
