Clinical Intern

Connection is one of our most innate needs; and yet it is something we are often so starved for in this age of illusionary-bonds. I see great value in developing connection with oneself and others for each of our unique healing journeys. Experiencing disconnection within one’s self and with others can be disconcerting. The sensation of disconnection has the tendency to elicit panic and a spiraling of emotions. Often the ease of fostering these relationships with self and others can be hindered by trauma, loss, grief, anxiety, depression (and other mental health-related experiences). I recognize that healing wounds and stepping towards your best self will look different for everyone and I firmly believe in your ability to move towards healing and connection. My approach to therapy is rooted in attachment and polyvagal theory. I incorporate aspects of Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Solution Focused, Collaborative and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I do not believe that therapy is ever one size fits all and as such I will tailor my approach to your unique needs and family/individual circumstances. One step will move you closer to change; I would be honored to walk beside you as you make this journey no matter where you find yourself in it. I have special interest in working through issues that impact couples, families and individuals. Some of my areas of interest are: Anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, BPD, BD, eating disorders, blended families, separation, divorce, infidelity, grief, loss, conflictual communication, women's, LGBTQ and identity issues.
